Popped into Morries today (for a change and had a chat with the florist who makes up bouquets from whatever flowers you select. We discussed the flowers available with me saying that I'd only buy the flowers that stood a chance of providing cuttings - like the carnations and chrysanths. Some of the greenery would probably be OK too - like the eucalyptus. Interestingly, she said that the one flower that she didn't like was Gladioli because they only go where they want to go and are really hard to arrange.
She showed me some half price boxes of summer plants - probably bulbs and roots in bags in them. No idea really but when I saw Crocosmia on the box I shuddered.
