Today was set aside for horse manure and nothing much else. I went to pick up six bags from a lady in a nearby village, brought that back, then took all my empty bags with me and went to another village for well rotted stuff. My goodness, there's loads and it's old, black and crumbly, and I could take as much as I wanted! I totally filled my poor car, and it was on its knees on the way home. I barrowed it all into the back garden and finished off the bed I started a while ago, and then started a new, massive bed on the left hand side of the garden. Wonderful
Then Jay had made plans with his daughter, so I had to stop play and go have a meal with them, then returned into my gardening clothes and planted out a raspberry - a golden autumn rasp. It will be interesting to see what that's like. I've never had one of them before.
I also got all my yellow french beans out - they were well overdue to be planted out. Very good day indeed.
