Had a fairly busy week planting out beetroot seedlings, tying down cherry tree branches so they stay in the fruit cage, planting out potatoes and potting on tomatoes, peppers, courgettes and more. Still harvesting leeks, broccoli and rhubarb. The last of the parsnips are getting too tough to roast but are ok sliced thinly and then boiled with potatoes, carrots and leeks for a veggie mash.
Visited daughter in London last weekend as well and it looks like she is clear of ground elder now.
Yesterday got a frantic call from daughter in Manchester who was trying to dismantle a greenhouse and didn't know where to start as the glass was all stuck in rather than clipped. she had found it on a freecycle site. I went along with 2 stanley knives to help her. It is a really nice green 8'x5' with safety glass and just 2 years old (apparently bought in the first lockdown) so ideal for her garden.
