However, got my seed module parcel when I got home this morning, so that was exciting. I got trays in three different module sizes. They are nice and sturdy and look like they'll last a good decade or more. I actually wish I'd bought a few more in the larger sizes as I think the Charles Dowding ones will be great for starting lots of things all at once, but the bigger trays will be better for the times when I don't quite get round to potting things on or planting them out! I have lots of germinated onion seeds now, so it will be good to get those into modules this weekend - a great opportunity to test them out!have you got any pics?/were the trays worth the money? What sizes did you get? I really want some decent ones.
I can post some pictures of the three types I've got in a few days when I can connect my phone to a WiFi signal again. The trays aren't cheap compared with the flimsy ones (around £5.50 per tray, plus £8.99 postage for the whole order) but they are good quality and I think will last many years. In fact, unless they degrade in the sun, I could easily see them lasting more than the predicted 10 years.
