Don't think so but maybe, to be honest as a youngster I didn't pay much attention, the cook foraged (with me as helper) and then cooked it up for me.  I must have reeked of garlic in those days, but then so did everybody else  Smile  I seem to recall the vine was much like that bindweed lookalike you were discussing a few days ago but I couldn't be sure.
Gardening is an excuse not to do housework
