Probably have the remainder here somewhere - unsown of course! How's this for a coincidence? The CGS magazine has just arrived and, in an article titled "The Joy of Seeds" there's a para on Lavatera arborea "Variegata. Apparently, its biennial, grew to be taller than the author, produced lots of variegated foliage, drooped severely in very cold weather but perked up again and, in the following year, produced lots of small purple flowers..........then set seed and died! It produces huge amounts of seed and pops up all over the garden. It is one of two plants that are most asked about on Open Garden days. Not grown very much but well worth trying.
