Morning All - its sunshiny here. Down o 3.9 in the GH last night!! Brrrrr.
I lost my Mum last year at the ripe old age of 100 and I have her handwritten cookery books too........and little notes that she'd keep when she went on holiday with my Dad. They'd have a vague idea of where they wanted to go - like Cornwall or Scotland so they'd load up the car and head off in that general direction. When they saw a B&B sign on a house, they'd stop there for the night. In an age before the internet or telephones that's what you did - or, if you knew where you wanted to stay, you'd write and make a booking. She wrote little reviews of the places - how welcoming, clean, food and cost. She may have been the original TripAdvisor.
