I had to look that one up, Vinny. I've grown it before but couldn't remember.
They are Aciderantha, or Abyssinian Gladioli!
Sounds like they aren't quite as hardy as regular gladdies, though. That would be why mine didn't come up again the following year after I left them out in the cold clay soil for the winter.
I think I would empty your pots, save the biggest corms and plant them somewhere more suitable next May!
