Evening all
Caught a Rainbow trout earlier and had it with chips and peas at lunch time. I got to the water at 11.00am and left with my lunch at noon.
I fancied some Hallumi which I would normally shallow fry in the frying pan.I had cooked my chips in the Wok so rather than dirty another pan I decided to deep fry my Halloumi. It seemed to take ages to brown and floated to the top as it cooked, but it was worth the wait.
I can say hand on heart I will never shallow fry Halloumi again. It wasn't as squeaky, it wasn't as salty and it had a nice golden brown tasty crust! Even Kato liked it!
