Walked the dog, made and ate the Sunday dinner, did a bit of tidying up in the house then took delivery of an antique Tallboy purchased from eBay.
After that I went to the allotment to try and get summat done while the weather was bright. Had a busy couple of hours at plot then came home to give my dog its second walk of the day.
Whilst walking the dog I spotted one of my neighbours taking down about 10 metres of fence palings that had been damaged when a car slid down the bank in the recent frosty weather. I asked him whether he had a use for the wood and offered to take it off his hands to chop up and use on my woodburner. To be honest I was quite knackered and could have done without the hassle late in the day.
Never mind, about five heaped wheelbarrow loads of wood later and half a dozen long spars (which I can use on the roof of the lean to shed I am building at the top of the garden) I had it all shifted. I just need a dry day now to get the chainsaw out and chop it up.
