Morning all.
Its been 'interesting' to say the least for me. No hot water and boiler wasn't working. Looked up the error code E28 on google and ascertained it was a frozen condensate pipe. It was rather cold and windy last night. (Eek)
After half a dozen kettles full of hot water dribbled over the pipework I managed to get ice away and boiler is now working..
Went out with dog for his morning walk and as I rounded the corner onto the A68 I couldn't believe the wind was drifting the snow across the road and it was nigh on impossible to walk against the blizzard. Decided to go with the wind on our backs opposite direction to our usual walks.Walking across the fields I was sinking in to the drifts and the dog was walking on top of them (thats why Siberian Huskies have furry feet)
Got to the bottom of the field and the old farmer got stuck with his 4X4 he had been feeding the sheep with. I walked past him then after turning the corner I was worried that he was stuck and would freeze to death so I went back to see him. He told me his son was coming down with the big tractor to pull him out. I asked whether he had a heater in the cab and he said " Oh yes, its toasty in here, but thanks for asking"
Without a heater I am sure he would have froze to death in an hour. Luckily the farm is only a couple of miles away so he would be ok until his son arrived.
Well, after this epic tale I had better start on the dinner. The Brisket is in the oven but I've got all the veg to prepare. TTFN
