2021 What I sowed today

I bought 2 shrubs in Lidl today they are supposed to be attractive to small birds especially blue tits. They produce lovely red and orange berries for the birds. I have put them in pots until I get planters for them.

I’ll put the names up tomorrow

Pyracantha, cotoneaster or berberis?

Pyracantha in particular and berberis have lethal thorns. We used to plant berberis either side of a path to keep people on the path!   I remember berberis otowensis purpurea was my favourite.
