I'm scurrying around preparing to go off to IOW. Not for long as seedlings and gh can't be left unattended. Looks like some beautiful weather.

I’ve dug 2 post holes ready for the start of rose arch construction. Sown seeds. Pruned, tidied, weeded all my pots. Binned a few that didn’t make it. Repotted quite a few of them as well. Some more to do tomorrow.
Builder that would like to go play in the garden.

More de-brambling and a bonfire.
Took down the old wooden toolstore (rotten/collapsing) and the 3 bay pallet compost heap (also collapsing and has become a junk store). All burnt. It gives me extra ground to play with - next to the 3 x GHs that are no longer netted. Most of the brambles that came out today were from here.
Didn't come back to the house until 6.15 - so much lighter in the evenings now and will be even lighter next week.Big Grin

I couldn't wait to get out in the garden after work today. I completely cleared the corner in front of the chicken coop, took away the metal lintels that supported the little chicken coop and dug the soil away from the fence. I dug out all the weeds, pulled out a little oak tree that was never going to be happy that close to, what I discovered is a walnut tree! Well, if my app is correct - we shall see lol

I moved my three smaller compost bays over to that corner, and took the big bush away that was the only thing blocking the view into the big chicken coop. They get more light this way, and we can see them from the house Smile

Beautiful evening - loved it Smile

Beautiful and busy day again - moved and juggled seedlings off the heat mat into the light of the living room. No more room.
Potted on some pumpkins; germinated less than a week ago but already planning World domination!
Sowed more parsley.
Strimmed veg garden paths.
Pricked out 3 gardener's delight tomatoes for the seed leaf versus true leaf test.
Laid two slabs in the gravel beside the deck to create a new path.
Weeded all the pots on the deck.
Removed blanket weed from the pond.

Lovely warm day today - gardening in t-shirt for the first time this year.

I made a start on my second veg patch. I lifted and stacked the turf, then got about a third of it dug over. It was hard going, because there were lots of tree roots in there that had to be chopped out.
Once it's all dug, I'll put a row of sweet peas at the back by the hedge, and put up a netting tunnel to grow some carrots and cabbages in front.

I’m going to join the experiment and prick out a few seed leaf tomatoes. Mine are very leggy, so it’s worth a try.

Planted last years strawberry runners, moved seedlings around, potted on nasturtiums, I know I'll end up with self seeded ones popping up but I like to grow some in case that doesn't happen this year.

No gardening. Looking out over the sea in Ryde on a bright sunny day. Going for a walk along the coastline later.
