I’ll be having lots of bonfires this week. At least you won't have to worry about stroppy neighbours complaining about the smoke.! A job well done, I bet it gave you both a huge sense of satisfaction. What's next on the agenda?

we have a holiday cottage one side ( so not to fussed if they get offended, there not here for long ) other side only moved into the village after lockdown. They’ve got the loudest child you have ever met !!!!
next on the agenda is hiring a mini digger at the weekend. Put some drainage in, see if we can get it less swamp like

Oooh can I come and play! I've always wanted to have a go on a digger, it's on my bucket list (already crossed off the cherry picker). Make sure it's got the noisy reversing klaxon, pay back the noisy neighbours. It must gladden the heart to finally be 'doing' and seeing the results.

I’m always happy to have volunteers .
When we have our generator running later in the process, that’ll drown out the child .
I’m very happy to finally be doing something.
Really looking forward to the weekend. We’ll have a slight bigger entrance to our plot. Not the proper one but considerably better than walking the plank which is what we do at the moment.

SC, how did you feel when you stepped onto your land for the first time after it was truly yours?
Did you skip around, waving your arms about and shouting "Its mine, all mine?".
Just wondering...........as that's what I did.

To be honest it still hasn’t really sunk in! As it’s taken so long. I still feel a like odd not having to ask before we do anything on the land.
But I do on occasion put on my very best posh person voice “ I own land on the Isle of Mull you know”

A very busy day today. Dug lots of drainage ditches. Well Bob did most of it. But I did a little bit. I did lots of strimming. The most exciting thing we’ve upgraded the entrance .
Lots of water drained off the plot! There’s lots more to go.
