I'm hoping to collect CFB violet de cosse as long as plants continue to grow, and white buddleia.

Hi everyone! Do we have guidelines for how many seeds per pack we'd need (I assume different numbers for flowers vs peas vs tomatoes) or how many of each type of seed pack we will need (one pack of each variety for each person on the list?)?
I'm thinking some varieties won't result in a lot of saved seed for me, but if I only end up with 10 tomato seeds, I don't think everyone would want just one seed...but maybe a couple of people would want them even though I couldn't contribute enough for each participant.
Am I talking in circles? Probably. Sorry

Its all a bit undecided at the moment, dj.
It'll depend on how many want to join in and, maybe, there'll be some people who don't want something that's on offer. Equally, if the seed was desirable and rare, some of us might be happy to give one seed a try.
Best advice is save whatever you can. We can list what we have to share later and decide then how to split the seeds between us.

Terribly sensible. I shall continue to save what I can.

Edit Reason: Adding flowers to list
)
I'm in the process of saving tomatoes all for swapping
Cour di bue
Pineapple
Sweet casaday
Maskotka
Terenzo
Tumbling Tom red
Sweet aperatif
Angelle - from supermarket
Rosella - maybe
Black Russian
Red Robin- a few
All my salad Tom's are F1.
Flowers:
Gaillardia
Coriopsis- early sunrise, I think. I have saved these in previous years and they came true. 12" - 14" rich yellow
Marigold - yellow jacket. And others. But may not come true.
If anyone would like any of these they're welcome, but I'm not sure how many of each to save. I would love to swap for anything different.

I'm sure there'll be plenty of seeds for you.

Terenzo seems to be another of these F1 or isn't it tomatoes.
I fancy trying Sweet casaday please.

Purple poppy
Anthurium
Round courgette de nizza
Purple sprouting broccoli, purple lupin, Claytonia ( depends how many people are in swap ), lots of varieties of chilli, a few tomato, will add to my list if I’m saving anything else. Things aren’t going well on the seed saving front.
I only had one useable seed from my courgette when I opened it up ! Something has eaten all the seed heads off the anthurium ( there’s more coming, don’t know if they’ll be ready in time ), the lettuce I wanted to save from behaved very strangely. The flowers just started to open and then the whole thing just keeled over & died.

My bad. You're right it's F1, and quite honestly not worth the trouble. Down the sink they go. I'll let you have sweet casaday. They weren't prolific for me this year but very pretty shape and colour and were sweet if left on the plant. They held on the plant a long time too.
I'll add a few Red Robin and black Russian to the list too.
