With a frost forecast for tonight I have placed my newly potted on Astolomerias in their pots in the back of the car ready to transport to allotment greenhouse at some time.

The car can be the greenhouse for this evening and should keep the frost off them. Rolleyes Apart from that it's been a hugging the woodburner kind of day but should warm up early evening with boxing and Barre. Big Grin

6 hours at work. Then finished laying the weed fabric. Also dug another load of daffodils. Got Bob to help me put them into a potato sack in one go. As we are also expecting the temperature to plummet tonight. I’ve wrapped my peonies, sweet peas and echium in fleece.
Builder that would like to go play in the garden.

What's all this talk about frost tonight? I've just planted some tomatoes in their final position in the GH. For the record; they were:-
Muchamiel x 2 *
Auntie Madge *
Gardener's Ecstasy
Derby Stripe
Unknown Black *
* ones are new to me. I'm not too worried as they've been in the GH for a couple of weeks, but they have been covered up at night - but not tonight! They'll have to grin and bear it!
I also pricked out 5 Oregon Sunrise and 2 Mountain Princess tomato seedlings.
