Direct sown (mixed with compost & scattered) 40 packets of old flower annuals .
Sown into several 6 cell trays. 25 packets of old flower perennials.
Nothing newer than sow by 2024. I’m not expecting great things. Hopefully something will germinate. That’s pretty much half my flower seeds. That’s a pretty good start

Hopi Black

The old beans I sowed earlier failed to grow apart from Vermont Cranberry - they have been turfed out of their modules and into tubs outdoors today.

DFBs, Stanley, Quartz, Primivera, Organdi and some old Aquilon seed. If the Aquilon grow at all, which is doubtful, I think I'll have to save the seed, as you can't get it from Real Seeds anymore.

Planted out my pre-chitted parsnips. It’s too hot just now so I’m sat reading in the caravan. It’s a bit like being in a Wendy house

I bought some Piccolato (Magiquia) cherry tomatoes from Aldi. They were the best tasting commercial chery toms I've tasted, probably as good as home grown. They are probably F1 but I've saved some seed and sowed it as an experiment.

It's part of a line that has resistant to the tomato brown rugose fruit virus which can wipe out whole commercial greenhouses of tomatoes. I might pick up a pack next time I go to Aldi. Maybe one day you'll be able to buy it for £1 per seed from JustSeed! https://justseed.com/collections/rz-tomato
