Funny one today. I had a steak that was four days past it's use by date but smelled ok? After cooking and tasting I wasn't so sure it was safe to eat so offered it to Kato who sniffed it then looked at me as if to say "Are you trying to poison me?" With that I chucked it in the bin, better safe than sorry.

I had the rest of the cold lamb from yesterday and opened a tin of corned beef!
Depending on how I feel later Kato and I may have a kebab night! Big Grin

B. Rhubarb, muesli, seeds, yogurt & honey
L. Last of the Olive bread with cream cheese. YS Hot cross bun
D. A new Vegan product from Aldi - "Indian Inspired Pieces" on special offer for 49p instead of 99p. Ingredients Sweet potato, red onion, peppers, spinach, chickpeas. cooked brown rice and herbs blended with coconut cream and ground spices. They were really nice - I'll buy some more, even at full price.

They had 3 different products called "Pieces" which I guess cannot be confused with anything meaty, like sausages, burgers.

That Indian inspired pieces sounds lovely.

a piece up here is your packed lunch. It took me a while to work out what they were on about and even longer to get used to it.

Hence my confusion when you hear the farm staff asking each other it they need a piece for the next day’s gathering ( getting sheep off the hill).
