The met was forecasting rain for here with >90% probability all afternoon but it never happened so I carried on preparing some ground for early potatoes and removing yards of couch grass.

Its been OK for most of the day but, this afternoon, about 5, when I was in Morries, I came out of the store to a flooded car park. The water was running off the car park, towards the store. Never seen it so bad there. Drove home (a couple of miles away) and you can hardly tell it had rained.

The forecast promises a fine day with sunshiny clouds, but then again it said that yesterday and it rained all day. This morning looks quite promising with a few blue patches of sky. Fingers crossed.
