A bit more filling and taping for me. Bob did a bit more plaster board, cupboard ceiling. A bit more plumbing. Both of these jobs are very nearly finished. And something a bit different. Cutting the ( I think marble, he thinks granite. The man we got it from can’t remember either) for our bathroom sink to sit on. Now cut to the correct size and hole in the correct position (hopefully).

. Just got to polish it up now. Bob had a little play on the bit that was cut off. It’s going to look good.

Second lot of lights arrived. so I fed them into the big milking parlour jar. Light for the porch arrived. Bob putting up almost the last bit of plaster in the living room.

Still need weather and people to all pay nicely at the same time, so we can fit new windows. Before the plasterboard will be completely finished. I also booked an appointment with another kitchen designer for Thursday in Oban. Bob has to go over to collect 37 bags of plaster ready for next week when the plasterer is here. We will be labouring for him.

I did that years ago when our house was renovated and completely replastered. 37 bags is an awful lot of stirring to do. You will need to book an away weekend afterwards to recover.

Luckily it’s not being done in one block. A couple of plastering a day or two off. Plasterer has other commitments. So hopefully he won’t kill us off.

More taping. Plasterboard tape and airtight tape. Worked out exactly how many plug sockets, light switches, other switches and light fittings we need. Turns out quite a lot. 31 double plug sockets. And ordered some floor tile samples.

You won’t be surprised to hear I’ve been taping today. And moving stuff around. Starting to clear rooms for the plasterer. The final component for the living room light arrived. So I’ve put that together. There will be some final little tweaks once it’s in place

. That won’t be happening until plastering, final fix electrics and decorating has been done.
If you’re interested (and very bored) the hanging is made up of 4m of brass chain, 2 bull nose rings and 180 brass 8mm washers. And a very strong hook for the ceiling.
