I had some plants set up under led strip lights but after reorganising my shelfs I decided to remove them and all my plants are now on the shelves in the greenhouse, where I have a heater set at 7°c, and all doing well, though not as big as JJBs

A trip down memory lane! Thought I'd ask how many of us are using/plan to use growlights this year?
I know Garrett has just bought some.

Not this year. But it’s getting closer. Hopefully next year.
Builder that would like to go play in the garden.

I bought some cheap off ebay and use with a large propagator I have. Will be using once I have any pepper or aubergine seedlings. But need to sow them first. tomatoes would be soon after that and early caulis and broccoli generally do well.

Yes, I have indeed bought some for the first time. They arrived today so I set them up in a spare room which isn't used. I figured the lights would irritate me if I could see them.
Looking through the thread I see that I've bought the same system as some of you, the long adjustable batons with different colour lights. That's a relief. Just need to find a suitable box to line with tin foil to fully join the club.

Haven't used mine yet this year. Maybe when my baby tomato seedlings have more than 2 leaves I'll give them a treat!

I haven't sown anything tender yet this year. I've learnt by past experience that if I start off too early, I end up with far too much tender stuff indoors with tomatoes a foot high with no frost free place to put them. I will certainly be using my 'octopus' mid Feb/early March for tomatoes. I gave up on aubergines and peppers due to infestations of green fly, but maybe I'll give a couple another go but tbh the number of aubergines gained by growing my own don't really justify the bother.

I bought some lights this year after trying to wean myself off indoor seed starting. Four-armed creature. It's currently coddling some houseplant seedlings with side benefits for some established plants.
