We've got a Nebe heatpump. We have had it since 2012 when it replaced an open coalfire with a back boiler and it has been very reliable. We have had it serviced regularly. It has broken down once in that time and was fixed free by Nebe. We have it on currently from 9am to 4pm then I light a woodburner in the evening after dinner. The temperature in our living room now is 18C and I'm just about to light it.

Today’s step forward

. Bob and our friend Glen have finished plasterboarding the spare bedroom and hall. Still a lot of screws to go in, fill the larger gaps and tape them both. But that’s tomorrow’s job.
I’ve spent most of the day in the attic with a roll of airtight tape.

It's really starting to look like a home now. You must be imagining the finished rooms now, which must spur you on.

Soon I’ll be annoying you all for your opinions on colour schemes. I’ve short listed a few options.
