We've got a Nebe heatpump. We have had it since 2012 when it replaced an open coalfire with a back boiler and it has been very reliable. We have had it serviced regularly. It has broken down once in that time and was fixed free by Nebe. We have it on currently from 9am to 4pm then I light a woodburner in the evening after dinner. The temperature in our living room now is 18C and I'm just about to light it.

Today’s step forward

. Bob and our friend Glen have finished plasterboarding the spare bedroom and hall. Still a lot of screws to go in, fill the larger gaps and tape them both. But that’s tomorrow’s job.
I’ve spent most of the day in the attic with a roll of airtight tape.

I’ve spent most of the day in the attic with a roll of airtight tape. I lowered the cieling in my bathroom and added downlights about five years ago, I still haven't taped the joints or plastered it, so you are way ahead of me!
