My resolutiions are to cut out alcohol and cut out carbs, mainly biscuits & sweets. I have not had a lot of alcohol to drink this year but was given alcohol and sweets at Christmas which I have been drinking. Over the last few weeks through not excercising and pigging out on drink and sweet stuff I have noticed my weight go up a few pounds. I also don't feel as good as I was.
I can't wait to get back to excercising this weekend and have ditchd the alcohol and sweet stuff to see how it goes.I have also lowered the amount of steps I do daily from about 12000 to 8000 (this could be because of the crap weather whilst waling Kato) I also read that the 10000 norm should not be applied to the older generation because of wear on joints etc? Still not sure whether this is right or not,but it sounds feasible?
Years ago I used to be a big drinker but managed to get it down to maybe a bottle of broon whilst watching Newcastle play, but as from now, for at least this month I'm tee total. (Chi tea from tea bags , that is!)
Anyone else made resolutions?

No resolutions here apart from continuing to be as Moneyless as possible.
I do want to buy more British made and UK grown stuff - but, when its free, beggars can't be choosers!

Declutter, declutter, declutter. There's got to be some serious chucking out of rubbish this year. I've already started on a small scale. I've thrown out masses of magazines that I've not looked at for ages. I found an old Delicious magazine dated 2006! Some cookery partworks that were very exciting to receive each week until they stopped, then got stored in an out of the way cubbyhole for decades. The blue recycling bin is already half full. There'll be many trips to the dump and much heartache but it's got to be done.

No.
If I want to change myself in any way. I don’t need to make new year resolutions . I can do it anytime. I definitely don’t see the point in cutting things out of my life, that I enjoy just because they’re “bad” for me. Life’s to short .

No new year resolutions here, first I can't really think of any and 2nd I know I'd never keep them anyway.

Not worth starting a New thread for 2026 - so I'm recycling last years.

For 2026 I'm adding the Pound a Day Food budget
and the Rule of Three as foretold at https://gardenandgossip.org/showthread.p...e+of+three
" Each week I have to sow 3 types of seed, - During the Roots & Shoots week it'll be 3 different Roots or shoots. Then 3 x Fruits and finally 3 x leaves. All year round - no excuses for winter!
That'll be at least 9 different seeds sown in each "Tic".
Every day I have to eat 3 different things from the garden. Preferably freshly picked but stored or frozen is OK. I'm calling these little harvests "Tickles" as they'll "Tickle" my palate. ![[Image: biggrin.png]](https://gardenandgossip.org/images/smilies/biggrin.png) "
