Today was gardening day. Spurred on by the arrival of lot of new plants from my trip away. So it was time to attack the plant waiting room and temporary veg garden. My day started like this

( one pallet and the plants it had been holding had already been removed when I considered the before and after shots). All plants, pallets (in use or not ) and all in use fish boxes were moved. At this point I need Bob’s help. Just as I was going to get him. He was walking up the garden to tell me he was off to do a job he’d attempted to do earlier in the day ( long boring story). So I started weeding the pots and topping with more compost from one of the previously cleared fish boxes. Bob reappeared and he strimmed the rushes with his really big strimmer. Then we moved the temporary veg garden ground sheet ( lorry tarp). Layed it on top of the plant waiting room ground sheets. Bob disappeared again. Pallets got put back and levelled. Weeded pots got allocated a pallet. Things were going well. Then Bob shouted “ MKM delivery will be here in 2 minutes “. It arrived in under one! So gardening was put on hold. While I when to help cover the stack of plasterboard and put the timber in the dry storage. By time that was all done rain had set in properly and it’d started to go dark.

Weeded a few more pots between very heavy showers this morning. Got a holiday cottage to clean this afternoon ( now the weather is improving ,typical!)

Visited the end of the garden for the first time for days. Still too wet to do anything except rake the rotting apples off the path. They're very slippery underfoot. It still smells like a scrumpy factory! I think most of the birds are drunk, probaby flying round in circles tweeting bawdy songs.
Managed to dry a load of washing before the rain returned, so its not all bad news.

More weeding of pots and topping up the compost in them. Relocating them to new pallets. Adding more pallets and levelling. The end is definitely in sight. Hopefully get it finished before I go out tomorrow afternoon. I see an early start in my very near future.

Visit to allotment and roughly fitted a door tp greenhouse. Broadies seem to be doing well and all elephant garlic showing above ground now.

Hospital today for a procedure. I have had the same procedure before with little pain so was not worried in the least!
This time was different though and it brought tears to my eyes and Ooh Ahh gasps to say the least. I'm not going to tell you what it was but I am at home now with the laptop on my lap waiting for pain to abate a bit, which it is after dozing with painkillers. Managed to make summat to eat and wash the dishes but I am now lodged on couch where I intend staying until it's time for Kato's afternoon walk, which for once, I am not looking forward to.

I'm sure Kato can manage without a walk this afternoon. Stay put and take it easy.

Thanks for the concern Veggie but the result of me not taking him could be a pile of poop on the living room carpet! I'd rather suffer the pain of taking him as opposed to cleaning up a mess indoors!

Won't he "go" in the garden? If I wave a poo bag at Ted and take him down the garden he usually Poo-duces the goods! Very obligingly, he will also sniff & stare at anything he may have done when I wasn't around to oversee him. I'd much rather clear up in the garden than grovel around in public.
