Monmouth made the national news last night. How all those people will cope is beyond me. Makes me appreciate how lucky we are.

Luckily no flooding in our local area some over in Bakewell and Matlock. JJB I've seen films of Monmouth, its going to take years to get back to normal.

So sad for Monmouth. Its a lovely town, full of character and interesting old shops and houses.
Its dry but cold here in not so distant Cardiff.

I don't know whether it's the calm before the storm, or the calm after the storm? but it felt a lot milder on Katos walk this morning, with no wind! Seems to be getting colder as the day wears on so I've just got a load of logs iin for woodburner to be lit soon methinks.
Could the weather perception be because I donned tracky bottoms this moning instead of shorts?

Freezing indoors,10 degrees but its supposed to get sunny so I'll get Kato's two blamkees I washed yesterday on the line and decide what clothing I am going to wear for his morning walk?

Update from above. After walking Kato in the sunshine it was snowing very lightly! What I thought was frost on the grass whilst hanging the washing out earlier, was in fact a very thin coveing of snow.
First snow of 2025.
I'm still going to stick with shorts for my evening excercise routines but may have to don trackie bottoms duing the day sometimes? It's a shame as I believe in eposing my skin to sunshine to boost vitamin D, especially in winter!
