In a break from my usual full on canivore meals I deicded to dust off the wok and cook off a Chinese inspied lunch.

I heated up wok with a big chunk of butter and added a chopped up onion fom allotment. Once onion was softened I added a 50% reduced orage sticker protein egg noodle pack from Aldi and mixed with butter and onion. To top it off I added a 50% reduced brisket pastrami cut into srtips and mxed it all in. To add a bit of moisture and taste I added soy sauce.
All was eaten out of a Chinese shaped deep bowl, but because I don't have chopsticks, I had to use a fork. Rolleyes Quite a tasty (and cheap) expeiment in the end. Smile

Roast lamb tonight if its defrosted - I needed the room in the freezer - otherwise it'll be pork schnitzel plus whatever veg I can scrape together. Stewed apple, raspberries, sponge and custard for his pudding.

To take away, I tried out a microwave brownies recipe:
https://realfood.tesco.com/recipes/micro...wnies.html
The taste was really nice, very chocolatey and decadent, but the texture a bit fragile for eating as a brownie, P really enjoyed it as a pudding with creme fraiche, I have a tendency to graze on things like that, kidding myself that just a mouthful or two won't add to the calories or hips. Total codswallop!

Yesteday I had an iffy stomach and couldn't be botheed to cook so I only had a tin of Spam shared with Kato. Today I have had three YS lamb steaks with mint sauce, mainly  because they needed to be used. Stomach still iffy so this may be only meal for today? Going shopping now so usually come back with something cheap to eat.............we shall see? Smile
