Watered and fed my tomatoes, basil, peppers and chillie plants. Gave the marigolds and nasturtiums a watering also.

Had to trim a hypericum bush and a big box ball so I could get the car out of the drive. Harvested, watered.

Bought a cordyline from Motrries for 4 squid! The variagated ones were 8 squid, but I didn't think they were worth it and they didn't seem variagated enough to be double the price?

Talking of Morries - I popped into their car park,Garden Shop yesterday as I'd noticed lots of reductions in the store. I asked the assistant, sprawling on a heap of sacks of compost, whether they had any Coir. "Don't know, is it a flower?". So I gave him a lecture on what it was, how to spell COIR, and how they always sold it in boxes. Don't think he understood a word of it!

I planted out the Snak Hero peas (at last!). Planted out a few module sown DFB, not that many as I kept neglecting to water them, and sowed a few extra seeds to make up the row. Propped up a couple of gladioli in danger of toppling in the wind. Weeded.

Emptied the baby bath/strawberry planter because, the plastic had cracked. I guess they're not meant to be left outdoors for a few years.
I put the compost in a 30ltr pot, having first lined the bottom of the pot with some wool insulation for water retention. This is another thing I've realised recently, that its better to put the insulation inside the pot, than to sit the pot on it. Sounds obvious, I know, but I'm a slow learner.
I planted the Mashua plant in the pot and gave it some supports to scramble up. It'll stay on the patio with the Oca pot until its time to harvest them in winter - not that I'm expecting much this year.
My new plan means that all roots will be grown in big pots to make harvesting easier.
Next task was to pull up more Montbretia - this time from the rockery. I have this idea of putting some of the big pots on the rockery as its close to the waterbutts.

Emptied out a pot containing garlic. Been in the pot for well over 12 months. I remember playing a small mono bulb. Found about 10 very small individual bulbs. Looking more like small wild garlic or bluebell bulbs. But I’ve replanted in fresh compost. Will keep a closer eye on them. Collected 3 bunches of flowers, cleaned 3 houses, went fishing.
Builder that would like to go play in the garden.

Cut my lawn at differing heights. My 'wild area' I cut on the highest cut and the rest on it's summer height. I also hacked back some nettles with secateurs on the edges and ran the lawn mower over them.
I then went next door and got permission to prune my apples that are against the joining fence. It was easier to hack the tops out from the other side than manouvere through the jungle on my side!
Then the rain stopped play!

Didn’t do anything over the weekend as we went away in the camper van for the weekend. Home now but the grass is too wet to cut.
