Digging out edges of new beds. Still not sure if I should have 3 smallish or 2 large. Currently digging out 3.

Yesterday I had a tidy up of the hardstanding area where the old camper had been (now resting at the happy hunting ground of the scrapyard bless her soul!) and associated herbaceous border.
The poached egg pant was finished and wilted so I gathered most of it together and spread it on some bare border soil at the side of the house where it an disperse it's seeds in gay abandon if it so wished.
I left one weed growing through a lime green Heuchera which had red foliage and pink flowers? Even though it was a weed it seemed to go well with the Heuchera foliage? I also planted a nice pink Osteospermum close by which I picked up from Morries for 3 squid!
I took a photograph of both plants but my problems downloading them from my phone have returned so you'll just have to take my word for it.
Just a shopping day today and helping my Daughter collect supplies for 'The Galley' where she does the catering. They have a rather antiquated 'Dumb Waiter' which is very similar to the one I had a t the Sportsground I used to live at! I have the job of filling it with the heavy stuff (Drinks cases and frozen chips mainly!) and sending it up the first floor by tugging on ropes, where she unloads it into the kitchen!

Went to the plot at picked another 500 g blackcurrants probably, shopping with boysenberries and blueberries. Tried making blackcurrant jelly style jam by cooking the fruit and straining but no juice is being released to speak of. I'm hoping I can just lump it all back together and cook with sugar then pop in the freezer to make a sort of chunky freezer jam.

Moved the strawberry house to a temporary location on the plots, feel happier now it's within my domain again. Burnt out two wasps nests that were too close for comfort.
Copiously watered the ground where I intend to dig two post holes and will repeat the exercise in a couple of days.
Got too warm for much else.

Weeding out mostly bindweed from a bed ready to plant stuff. The ground was bone dry so watered a bit.

We have had Jay's stepson here to visit for a few days with his sister's two sons that are six and nine years old. It's been lovely to have them here and we have had a few lovely days out. However, that meant no time for gardening!
Today I'm starting work late, so I've had the morning to clear up to the right of the porch on the front. I've planted up a massive tub with loads of flowers, put down cardboard on the ground with wood chip on top around it. Looks very smart. Pics soon.

So far today I've filled some modules and set them in water to soak ready for perhaps some dfb and a couple of courgettes. Sprayed the cucurbits against mildew and pests with potassium bicarbonate, neem oil, SB invigorator mix (this time in clean sprayer ) ) . Planted bedding in the bindweed bed. It's now 28.7° with no breeze and too bladdy hot.
