Only thing even remotely gardening related was put some things away in my shed. Rest of the day trying to tidy the house. So there’s space to work in it.
Builder that would like to go play in the garden.

We got a robot lawnmower a while ago to help with the vast amount of lawn (have I mentioned before I am not keen on maintenance work such as mowing grass?), but other than testing it out with the wire that the robot stays within, we haven't had time to set it up properly.

Today I got a spade and started making little slits in the grass that the wire can be poked into. It's slow going, and we need about 500 meters in total, so we still need to order some more and join them together. At least I've done the bit from the house all the way past the cottage and down to the barn. Only about 450 more meters to go lol

Weeding along side a path and Vegplot 2.
Cleaning up the scented pelargoniums in GH4 - despite being different varieties they all smell the same - I don't even like the smell much. Not sure why I keep them. Also trimmed the orchids.
Three of the old Amaryllis bulbs have flowered again this year - they must be at least 3 years old and have no TLC. Just left to die off and not watered until they show signs of life.

I have an old camper that I am using as a shed, but tit's turning into a bit of an eyesore. I have decidd I need a 10 X 8 shed to house the tools and other stuff in the camper so I an scrap it. I was going to build a shed and have accumulated a lot of wood to make it. My new plan is to buy a 10 X 8 netal shed and site it where I have the wood stored!
Today I moved all the wood and attacked the brambles and nettles that were on the area I need for shed. Next thing is to order the shed which comes with a base foundation. I intend putting the foundation together then building a single breezeblock surround to put the shed on. The reason for this is that the shed doors are only 5 foot 2 inches high and I need it higher so that I am not stooping. Thats the plan, anyway?

Vinny I did wonder what happened to your camper, our Nissan vanette ended up in the scrapyard after MrB ran out of good metal to weld to.

This morning I've potted up some basil snips that's been in water.

^^ That might not make sense, anyway the other week I snipped the tops of my basil plants to make them bushy putting the snips in water.

Similar problem with my Nissan, just ran out of enthusiasm once I bought the Starspirit, and to be honest it's like chalk and cheese the difference! Rolleyes I started to fit wooden units into it which will be re-purposed as workbenches once I have the new shed erected.

I also put some snips of purple Cotinus in water to see if they would take? My neighbour was pruning hers and as she is a 'Short arse' so I volunteered to prune the  uppermost branches for her, snaffling the cuttings as I went. I have no idea whether they will take or not, but nothing ventred nothing gained! Smile

Today will be more jungle clearing and levelling ground for shed!

Cleared a patch of ground for more squash. This involved digging out old raspberry canes, buttercups and all sorts of other unwanted plants.
Once all the squash are planted I'm going to sow carrots between them as they won't mind being surrounded by sprawling squash - I hope! Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Nothing gardening but I have my living room back. If P looks at another ceiling and wants something done he'll be put out the door!
