I've sown a load of stuff and none of it has come up in the last couple of weeks. I'm dying for a squash or a courgette to pop up!
We have had to focus on the lawn for a while, as there's a lot of it, and it was getting long. We have bought a second hand petrol lawn mower and that works great, even on the uneven bits. The grass clippings are very handy for the compost and the veggie beds. The cows have come to munch on the grass in the grazing areas and they're doing a great job! I'll be out there collecting their droppings haha

Moved furniture, packed up bric a brac and emptied cupboards. Who knew I had so much booze squirrelled away, shame we don't drink much. We had 20mins of torrential rain, so much so I had to rush to get tenders in for protection, and got thoroughly drenched.

Sowed runner beans, winter squash and rocket in the GH.
Planted some chard seedlings.
Weeded a patch ready for planting out something - not sure what yet!
The usual GH watering to start the day.

Planted out Oregon Sugar Pod MT, transplanted chitted sweetcorn and sowed some extra unchitted ones. Replaced some pigeon damaged tenderstem broccoli. Resowed some French beans where they had failed to pop. Tx some spare toms that I couldn't bear to bin (I knew it would happen).

Potted on a variety of different things, sorted out the hardening off bench. It was annoying me. Now it’s sales/ donation plants, plants still to be potted on for sale, my plants to be planted. Then I planted my chillies & sweet pepper in their final pots, planted tromb, plant my spuds. Turned another block of coir into usable compost.

Had a Covid jab and visited the adjacent churchyard. Haven't been there for a few years.
Weeded the patio and added the weeds to the garden wastebin for collection tomorrow. My neighbour cut back our shared front hedge. Its actually my hedge, but he's a good neighbour so he cuts it for me. Between us, we also weeded the drive and filled the bins. He even climbed inside the bins to compress them so that we could pack more in!
