After work I’ve been doing lots of pricking out , potting on and sorting out who’s having what. I now have trays outside & in the tunnel for different people, for the barrow and for me. The ones for me are split into veg, flowers gap fillers & cut flowers. Now that’s sorted, I can start my April sowing.

Spent some time in Middle Earth, cutting honeysuckle out of a pear tree as it was swamping it. Took out some nearby brambles, cut back the nearby forsythia and fuchsia bushes and tried to give the pear tree some breathing space. Its laden with blossom this year.

Mostly worked on the kids' new playhouse. Transferred a few very unhappy seedlings (potted on into heavy compost) into a lighter mix with perlite. Sowed a few seeds. Hosted a playdate Big Grin

Today is bitterley cold with a not a polinating insect is in sight.(Can'r say I blame them!) My  potted Conference pear is in full flower so as it is supposed to be self fertile? I decided to try and do the bees work for them with a paintbrush? I must admit I couldn't see any pollen on the paintbrush tip but went over all the flowers that were open with it. Two years ago I had a single pear and last year no pears at all! Angry Hopefully I have done some good and will get some fruit this year as it is awash with flowers! Huh

Acquire lots of plants, seeds, bulbs, tubers. So been busy planting them, sown some seeds.
Now have to go write down where I planted everything.

Walked Kato, morning excercises then off shopping. I was expecting a load of logs delivered at 2.00 but he rang and said 3.30 to 4.00for delivery instead! That gave me a bit more time for shopping and with half price meat on offer for Easter at Morries, I filled my boots!

£88.00 spent and this was my fourth week over £70 so I got 30 pounds worth of vouchers to use up which with my £40 of vouchers already held, should give me a FREE shopping week, next week!

Just waiting for log man coming now but I have cancelled my scheduled excercise routine for this evening as I will be knackered after shifting and stacking logs!

JUst had a text from my edest son askingif I will dig him some worms at allotment for his fishing trip tomorrow, so once logs arrive I will head to allotment, although the warmth may have sent any worms deep! Rolleyes

Sown seeds. Potted on chillies and the last few tomatoes. Planted out the thyme & oregano, Pot up the mint I got yesterday. Planted the clematis. Managed to wrestle the 2 lavender plants that had brooded very well in the big pot I acquired yesterday. Even though they had just been sat on top of the pot compost still in the little pot they were brought in. I have to cut the plastic pot off them. Now pruned & rehomed in a big plastic pot. The compost out of the very big pot has been through the sieve and is now bagged up. Repotted the stevia into another acquired pot and has a new very posh copper plant label (also acquired yesterday)
