Do you have solar panels on your house JJB? I have them on my motorhome and there was certainly no shortage of usable electricity for me at the weekend!
Yep. P rubs his hands together in glee when the sun shines, free leccy. It was the best investment we've ever made.
The Muskrat reckons a 12 mile sqaree  of solar paels in one of Americas desert ares would supply enough electricity to to power the whole of USA!

He might be right but P says he doesn't know it all. Panels don't like extreme heat, they prefer cold and bright, plus in the desert there would be a load of differential expansion. I wonder how the Muskrat was anticipating getting the solar generated power to all of the USA from the desert?

I don't think he specifically mentioned the desert, that was my take on best place for solar panels? Blush 12 square miles in central USA I would imagine?

How about covering T. Rump's golfcourses? At least they'd have a good use that way.

It started getting cold again on Monday, then on Tuesday night it was snowing in flurries when I got out of work at midnight. This morning we woke up to a winter wonder land.

By 4pm it has almost all melted, but it's still only 1 plus degree.

We clearly have a house where animals like to take shelter. We have had mice come in and make themselves cosy, eating my spices etc, so we had to set traps. Now this morning, Jay went down to light the wood-fired boiler, and a little ginger kitten scared him half to death (it's not our kitten!). He seems three or four months old and is quite shy. Trying to find where he got lost from....

Its another deceptively sunshiny day - but step outside and its colder than you think! I should know by now - I'm so easily fooled.

We had rain - and I'm actually pleased to see it. Can't remember the last time it rained.
Started late afternoon and was quite heavy. Hopefully topped up the water butts which were quite low.

I was looking forward to a bit of rain bit it wasn't much, nothing useful. It all went to Veggie. Today's mild, dry but overcast.
