I did think about trimming the leaf off and just planting the root bit, as the leaf will probably die now. However, its all in a pot now. If the old leaf picks up, it'll show that the roots are growing ( I think!).

I'm jealous,  my leaf stem just went to mush. I got the cuttings out of the airing cupboard, I didn't want them to cook in the dark, but the leaf cuttings are quite flacid and no growth whatsoever.  I'm resisting digging them up to have a peek in the nether regions for roots.

I have 6 babies that are growing well. Possibly a 7th & 8th on the way. If I’m right in thinking a baby leaf will form where a root has been put down.

I have no idea, I've still got no babies and I'm reluctant to disturb the one leaf portion left in the pot for fear of killing it off.  With that many babies you'll do a good trade in the barrow SC.

My big leaf is still alive. I've scraped some of the topsoil off the pot and, I think, I can see a little shoot poking up. It'll take a while before I can be sure.
