2025 - Today's Recipe

It's been a while since I posted here last. I've had a baking day where I did a few loaves of bread, cookies, cinnamon buns, vanilla buns etc.
Jay is back with me now, and we have had friends over where I made home made burgers with BBQ sauce in them, along with fried onions and some spices to give them a kick. I did some chicken wings too, and home made burger buns - probably the best ones I've ever made! Recipe here:

Really lovely. I will do that recipe for hotdog buns too, as we start to grill outside really early. I can already imagine grilling down by the pond with the family Big Grin
I made home made mayonnaise too, which didn't work at first, so I had to rescue it with more egg yolks and slow down a little bit LOL

I've had lots of filling, cheap and healthy meals, all home cooked to keep costs down, such as minestrone soups that go on forever because I keep adding to them lol Home made rice pudding is a staple, and lots of vegetarian meals to provide some antidote to all the carbs.
