Hi all, just joined this forum and hope it will be a nice way to share some gardening ideas as the season begins.
I've just moved to North Wales after living in London for 27 years and now have a quarter of an acre garden with lots of mature plants and lots of ideas being hatched to add to it.
Strangely it doesn't have a veggie growing area so will be making a little start on a potager by digging some old turf out and trying to see what will grow.

Hi Pots and Plants and Croeso from Cardiff. You've moved to a beautiful part of Wales. Hope we'll see some photos of your garden soon.
We're a friendly bunch and always happy to answer any questions to the best of our ability. Not all the answers will be sensible, though!

It is absolutely lovely, will definitely post some photos of the area that I'll be starting to work soon, it's in there levels which breaks down the space nicely, it made sense as we are between two mountains. We are bracing for another storm coming out way, weren't not in South London, no more ? could definitely do with some ideas.

We have a weather warning too! Hopefully it will pass without damaging anything. Have you identified all the plants in your garden yet? Its that exciting time of year when plants are emerging from hibernation - like the spring bulbs. Hope you've found some daffodils!

Welcome pots and plants. Pull up a chair, make yourself comfortable.
What part of sunny north Wales? I spent 10+ years in Rhyl.
Can’t wait to see some photos of your garden. I’m always looking for ideas.
Hope you survive the coming storm. It due to be a bit breezy here too.
What sort of gardening do you enjoy, veg growing, giant veg, specialise (obsess over ) in a particular variety or is it flowers, cut flowers, just love all of it?
We need to know everything, we’re very nosy.

Hi and welcome PotsandPlants!
I love Wales - I visited a few times. Just like the others, I can't wait to see pictures of your garden. Isn't it lovely to have a new space and so many new projects to start!?
I've always been into only growing veg, but now I love flowers almost as much. What do you like?
Welcome again - you couldn't find a friendlier and more helpful bunch Nutty too, but that goes with the territory lol

We have a few bulbs popping up...and a few potted, will be great to add a few more about the place. Having moved in November we had a couple named storms already so well prepared to move anything in danger, but we also lost a roof slate earlier...the joy of being in an exposed coastal area.

Glad you're prepared, Pots. Stay safe.
Have a look at Smallchilli's posts, she's in the middle of building a house on the Isle of Mull and living in a caravan or two.
