2025 - What I sowed today

I couldn't wait any longer!
Its Greens week so I've sown Mixed lettuce, Mibuna, Rocket "Astra" and Brocoletto in 2 potato tubs in GH1. The potatoes are already showing but there'll be time to pick some quick growing greens before the spuds get going.
Phew, I feel so much better now.

Roots & Shoots week 1
Sown Walla walla onion seeds in modules which will be going in an unheated propagator in the bedroom!
Put some Champagne Rhubarb seeds in water to soak for 12 hours (seed packet instructions).
Also soaking beansprout seeds in a jar for the windowsill.

Sowed the pre-soaked Rhubarb "Champagne" seeds in modules and, because there were a few empty modules I sowed some Rhubarb "Victoria" seeds, unsoaked. Wonder if they'll both germinate or whether soaking makes a difference.
I seem to have a lot of old rhubarb seeds so may sow most of them in a seed tray and wait and see. Not today though!

My fingers were itching, so today I turned on the Super 7 propagator and sowed some onions: "Globo" and "Augusta".

I’ve just sow chillies. jalapeños, chocolate habanero, beaver dam .

Sweet Peas! 12 named varieties and a mixture, in deep modules.

A lot of the seed is pretty old, but if they don't grow I've got time to buy some more.

Its Fruits week Sowed a few Red Robin tomato seeds - there was room in the propagator and its a shame to waste it!
Also planted a 30l tub with Bijou mangetout peas.

Today I sowed 18 little pots with different herbaceous perennials.

I'm looking forward to digging up some more lawn to plant them out in spring.

Also five different peppers on the heated propagator.
