Cleared 8 inches of snow from house surrounds after walking Kato this morning and we now have another 3 inches on the areas I cleared!

Cleared a foot of snow from house surrounds and off car. Cleared a passage to get car onto track worn on road. Rear wheel drive sports car would have made for interesting driving! As it happens all the gym's workots have been cancelled today so I have had my abs workout through snow shovelling instead.
Kato, who usually relishes the snow, wasn't to keen this mornig in the deep snow. I can onlly think that the depth of the snow was freezing his willy!

Poor Kato. How would he manage in Alaska??
Here, the weather can't make up its mind. 18C in the GH this morning, sunshiny and quite pleasant. We've just had a heavy downpour, may have been hail as it was noisy, and a rainbow to apologise! GH is down to 7 now. Time to bring a seed tray indoors and sow some onions.

More snow overnight but its thawing now in the sunshine. Reports locally of icy roads and pavements - accidents and falls. Take care out there everyone.

Our snow is as it was yesterday, about a foot thick but now frozen solid! My ankles are paining after walking Kato this morning and the roads, and more so the paths are horrendous! Part of my walk borders the A68 which I walked up, but each time a car came I had to dive into 3 foot of snow which was piled up at the sides. The sun is out but it aint thawing! No way am I trying to get my car out of the street on ice and compacted snow!

It's snowing but not settling.....yet. As the temperature drops that might change. We're not due to get much, only a couple of cm at worst.

I don't think I will be able to get car out of frozen snow until next week. The path around the house is frozen with ice now after snow clearing yeaterday. Poor Kato slipped on his bcakside earlier today. I managed to dig the wheelbarrow out and bounce it up to the top of the hill where there is a rocksalt tub. Half filled the wheelbarrow and after returning spread it on the icy paths I had cleared. That should help hopefully, but my calves and ankles are sore with walking on frozen compacted snow! Such is life.

Frost last night, cold through the day, rain or snowing now. Very cold.
