2024 - How's your weather today?

Its still windy but nothing like earlier. The rain has arrived now.
Just done a quick reccy round the garden, seems to have survived apart from a "pond liner" roof that was covering a GH frame where some garden tools (including electrical ones) are stored Fortunately, it was a double layer roof and the underneath layer is mostly intact so the tools are still dry.
A bit of freestanding metalwork (was the side of a GH frame) has blown over but that's not important.
Haven't had a look at the roof at the front of the house but I can't see any loose slates on the ground.

Hope you all survive this unscathed.

JJB, get well soon. Its time your flu flew away. x

Stay safe everyone.

A bit 'dingy' here but not too bad. When I came out of Morries after my morning workout with my shorts on it was a bit drafty around the trousachs but at least my legs got a good wash while I was loading shopping into the car!

I'm settled in front of the woodburner now after having some scran and not particularily looking forward to Katos second walk today, although he is,bless him! Smile

Still windy today but nothing like as bad as yesterday. Apparently 150 trees fell in Cardiff. The Council have cleared 100 of them, where they were on roads or a danger to the public. The remaining 50 are in parkland and will be left for a while.

It’s been beautiful here today, but cold. Frost not left the ground where the sun didn’t hit. It’s going to be a cold night

Not stopped raining for 2 days & the wind is picking up again. But it’s only gusting to 50.

Yesterday was quite sunny so I did a load of washing, trying to catch up. Unfortunately, the birds, took a liking to a couple of pairs of jeans so they need to be rewashed!!
Today its damp, that fine stuff that soaks you without realising it! Getting heavier now.

I pottered out in yesterday's sun but resolutely stayed indoors today, it was grey and damp.
