He regularly gets silence. It can be for days at a time . I’m going to make a mini scroll to write it on. The plan is currently forming.
Are you any good at calligraphy, that's another skill I respect but don't have. 100% not in the slightest. But wish I could do the arty writing There's always the printer, but doing a miniature scroll might be tricky. You could distress the paper and dye it with tea before printing. Life is to short to hunt through many many boxes to find printer and even shorter to actually bother fighting with it . FYI bobs not worth that much stress . But I will be ageing the paper with a teabag, just as soon as I can find some white paper without lines on . Could also prove challenging . Will be back with photos when I’m done .

Scroll is done. 2 little dead branches. Bark removed and lightly sanded. Wooden beads. A gold paint pen, glue, 1 piece of paper, plus several back up pieces. Ripped edges and Stained with tea & coffee. A fairly mediocre attempt to cope a fancy font. A bit of sparkly crochet thread. Did want ribbon, but again pick a box any box. So that wasn’t going to happen.

Very pretty under adverse conditions. I wouldn't have been able to do it and I've got most things to hand. Doesn't it scroll up nicely. A work of art, to be sure.

Most of these things I’m making are if I’m honest just giving myself something to do. Fairly high chance the finished advent calendar and its gifts won’t be that appreciated . There’s also quite a high chance after about the 3rd day I’m going to have to nag him to actually bother looking what’s in the next mitten or bootie . But I’m having fun thinking up ideas with everyone’s help and creating / buying them.
