Growing pips, stones and seeds from random fruit & veg.

A long time ago I tried to grow plants from various fruit and veg that were bought for eating. I remember trying citrus fruit, avocado, peach, blueberries, pomegranate and dates - some of which were successful. 
Winter is coming and I need a new Challenge. How about you? 
I have some citrus fruit, pomegranate and avocados to start. Any hints and tips are, of course, welcome.

I’ve successfully grown lemon, blood orange, avocado.
Melon from shop brought fruit. I’ve had great success with them.
Failed at plum.
Don’t think I’ve tried anything else.
No point trying apples, only a few varieties grow well up here. Not trying pear, just don’t like them.

Ooh……… I’ve recently composted a manky mango! I wonder if I could (find) try that?
A job for tomorrow.

Anyone tried growing seeds from a banana?

Sorry not joining in. I'll save windowsill war fights for early spring. I don't think he could cope with myriad pots with indeterminate seeds/seedlings festooning the sills all winter. As it it is the newish enclosed porch is still filled with tomatoes and dianthus. He made the mistake of replacing the shelf that used to be there before refurbishment and now I've populated it. I wonder what he thought was going to happen?! I will of course follow your progress.

We have a orange tree growing from a pip 4 inch tall that's just starting its second winter, it was doing fine until I forgot about it in the GH. Hopefully it'll recover on the bathroom window sill.

Mango is planted.
Garla melon seeds saved and cleaned. I know they do well. And have a surprisingly long dormancy. Think last time I sowed saved melon seeds successfully they were 6 years old. So probably about time I saved more. They always taste just as good (if not better because home grown) but never quite as big as shop brought fruit.

Fleece them or make mini greenhouse’s out of top half of plastic bottles or plastic bags attached with elastic band or string.
I’m just hearing lots of excuses why you can’t come out to play 

Just had another rummage in the compost bin and found a passion fruit. So 24 of those seeds are now sow.
FYI the mango & passion fruit were from holiday cottage that I just didn’t have the time or inclination to use. So not really my waste. Now definitely not hopefully they will produce the next generation.

And I only planted up my exotics bed last week.  Going to have to have a re think if any of these grow

They might germinate (if I had anything to sow) but would get mullahed by the frosts, just like my autumn sown MT did. It's heartbreaking nurturing something along then WHAM they're dead. If I have anything to sow I might succumb.  And V you're a nag!
