I have had very poor germination from my 'budget' seed buys this year (probbably partly because of the cold wet weather?) so I am now wary of purchasing reduced price seed!

I have one of the Bempton hanging bird feeders - it was, of course, FREE from the local group. Its attractive and the small birds seem to like it. The magpies struggle to get at the food which is a bonus.

Very pretty, unfortunately squirrels would have a lovely picnic from that one.  I notice on other sites they no longer say squirrel 'proof' but have amended it to say squirrel 'resistant'. Our squirrels are very ingenious they find their way into anything.
