No idea. But the white spores are what you buy in mushroom kits. So no harm giving it a go.

I've tried planting the cut off bottoms of the mushrooms with the white spores and compost that were in the punnet. Unfortunately, I can't remember what happened! Can't have been a great success or I'd remember!
