Finished laying the underfloor heating pipes.
Over the last few days we’ve started building a temporary timber shed/store. So we did a bit more to that as well.

Put scaffolding up for solar panel installation. Bob built a ramp to slide the panels up the scaffolding. We put a panel on it just to make sure they fitted the ramp. They not very heavy, they just big.
I dug the first hole for my polytunnel leg and found a bloody big boulder! It’s still there, we’ll work round it!

Another big step forward!! A floor.
Have you decided what sort of flooring you're going to have?

we’re having tiles in the porch & utility (got them, secondhand, that’s the space they’ll cover )
carpet tiles in wardrobes & cupboards (got them free brand new )
wood laminate in the hall and a rug runner ( got them laminate swapped for day’s work )
bedrooms & dining room something similar like the wood laminate with rugs ( I have the rugs all secondhand or gifts) possibly living room as well but would like carpet in there. Kitchen would like tiles but probably be vinyl.
so the sort answer, whatever is the cheapest

Good choices! When I had the cottage down west rebuilt I had tiles everywhere except the living room (laminate) with rugs. It was so much much easier to sweep up the sand and mud from the beach/garden.

All about underfloor today. Bob Finished fitting all the pipes to the manifold. Did the most amazing bodge job of fitting a temporary water filter. As our water comes straight off the hill. We thought it wise to fit a filter before filling the underfloor pipes with water. Pipes are now filled and under pressure.
It has to stay under pressure for 48 hours. Hopefully without dropping.
Finished emptying the house ready for the screeding.
