I just read that article and thought the same. Most people have no idea what the word means - that includes me. Should I get rid of the Hottentot Fig that grows in the garden?

I've heard the word but not really aware of what it meant. Never thought it was derogatory. Whatever next.

I'm amused by the various ratings!
The film was U .
A U rating means a film should be "suitable for audiences aged four years and over" although the website adds "it is impossible to predict what might upset any particular child".
It's now PG
The organisation says a PG rating "should not unsettle a child aged around eight or older" and that "unaccompanied children of any age may watch, but parents are advised to consider whether the content may upset younger, or more sensitive, children.
I don't have kids but I can't imagine most children would be upset by/or even understand the H word. There's far worse language being shouted around school playgrounds these days.
