Piglet last measured 88cm, nowhere near DJ's mahoosive one. More watering and measuring today.

That was my last measurement as well . Tomorrow will be the measuring & calculating. Got stuff on today.
Poor river & firefly are getting beaten up by the weather at the moment. Starting to really dislike the blow away tunnel. .

Just used the calculation site. Firefly works out at 9kg (19.8lb). So I’m going to do that again the day I harvest her and actually weigh her. Just to see how close they are. Of course if the weights don’t match it could be down to my poor measurements.

I looked up the UK's biggest pumpkin, wondering how it compares with the world heaviest. Apparently the UK's largest is similar in weight to a Fiat 500 and only about 47 pounds lighter than the world's largest. Only 47 pounds! I thought, at the time not even processing that was probably twice the weight of mine.
Looked it up again: 2,656lb, 1,205kg for the British pumpkin

Mmm we’re not quite up there yet, are we ! .
Does it say where in the UK that was grown & when. Be interesting to know how long the record has stood for.

I remember the second bit - it's a pair of twins and they broke their own record last year to create the current record.
Apparently from Lymington. Apparently in the New Forest in Hampshire. Had to look it up...

I couldn't record several measurements as my daughter had my phone and I was trying to remember my sunflower measurements as well but the pumpkin is about 41.5 in or 105 cm in circumference. The vine is definitely looking worse for wear so I imagine she'll be done soon. I never moved her off the ground so who knows what I'll find underneath...

First update for a month. River is still trying her best. But firefly is being a teenager about the whole thing.
92cm was today’s measurement.
