Like you home bargains is closer only 32 miles from Oban. Your drive may longer but definitely more scenic than the road in to Liverpool that's lined with scrap metal yards and oil recyclers.

Right, you lot! I'm going to Wilkos. I'll blame you if I spend money,.

That was a wasted journey! All the seeds were reduced by 75% but there weren't many packets to tempt me - bought some sweetpeas and a couple more flowers. Also 2 pairs of gloves. I wanted a watering can rose but there weren't any to fit the Wilko's watering cans I have now.
It was quite sad there - the store had been reduced in size by about half, shelves weren't always full. There was only one till open and it seemed very quiet. A lady even asked me if they were closing down! Probably my last visit as there was very little there to make it worth going back.

Shame. They had a really good range of spring bulbs last year and all those I bought from them have done well.

My local Morrisons are selling off their summer garden stuff - including the boxes of coir that I bought so many of last year! At the moment they're £2.50, just been reduced from £4, Not sure what the original price was. They have other bits and pieces too - gloves, hand tools, labels, planters.......

Sadly, no local Morries, or I'd be down there like a shot.
