It bucketed down overnight, the lawn will be pleased, everything's damp, dull and humid this morning. I hear they're expecting hot weather this weekend too, we've been promised up to 30.

A bit of rain overnight but not enough to top up the water butts. Some dark clouds around so I'm still hopeful of more.

Light rain here at the moment. The rain we had a couple of nights ago filled my water butt at allotment to about 1/3rd full. The downside is the weeds are now flourishing!

It was sunny, then it rained enough to chase me inside. As soon as I made a cup of tea it's sunny again. Its going to be really humid and sticky when I get outside again.

Well, I wanted rain and cor blimey I got it! It pelted it down all day and I got doused several times during my Tues outing with the girls. It looks like we got about 37mm yesterday. The butts are full (all 15 of them) P was traipsing round in the rain, while I was out gallivanting, pumping water from the collecting ones to the storage ones and was quite upset when we had no more capacity to store all the lovely free water. Today is fine but rather damp, I put off my morning forage for veg until it dries up a bit.

Our beautiful weather broke on the 19th June.
For the rest of june we had 5.5". Our village weather guru hasn't added up what we've had in July yet but between 1 & 2 inches.
So all you doing the rain dance........give it a rest, will you

Dry, cloudy and nothing exciting today. Only had enough rain to fill one waterbutt of the the 3 linked butts. Still need more but my rain dance is limited to South Wales, SC, so you can't blame me.
Forgot to add that its been cold overnight - down to 10C in the GH last night. For the last couple of weeks I've been leaving the GH doors open, but I closed them last night and it still went down to 10C. Look out for frost.

Dunno WHAT's happening with the weather here? No drought problems as we have had plenty of rain. Bladdy freezing though,.......... so much so that I have lit the woodburner again.
Come back Summer, all is forgiven!
