Another hot day I'll probably be indoors this afternoon.

Hot here too though I've been stuck around the house this morning while the plumber was here replacing the electric shower.
FYI the original shower cost £76 in 1999 - the new one (almost identical) was £109. That's inflation for you. Big Grin

It is sweltering here again, too hot to do anything outside so catching up on housework.

P was researching a new chainsaw blade.  The last one he bought was in the mid 80s at about £18  he can get a cheepo one today for around £11 or a branded one for £15 ish. That's the sort of 'flation I like

Far too hot here, especially standing on a picket line next to a busy road as I have been today! Very glad it's a bit cooler for my journey home this evening. I have barely been at home since last Thursday (just a few hours Sunday night that saw me watering some plants at 11pm at night) Dreading to think how crispy things will be when I get home tonight. Hoping to give things a good drenching tomorrow. I've actually got annual leave from next Wednesday so checked the weather, only to find it's going to be tipping it down 90% of my days off! I really would have preferred it the other way around...
Formerly self-contained, but expanding my gardening horizons beyond pots!

Today is cloudy and far more pleasant for working in the garden. No rain promised though.

We've had a short sharp shower - unfortunately, it didn't last long but it is the first meaningful rain here for a couple of weeks. I stood out in it and enjoyed my shower. Big Grin
