Bagging fruit for protection

I'm experimenting this year with bagging some of the fruit to protect it against the birds, squirrels, whathaveyou. These are peaches. I can't bag some of the fruit as the branches are too long, or short, to put a bag on.
I tried bagging some cherries but because of the way they hang on the branches I couldn't get them in a bag. Will keep trying!

I used the net bags they sell in supermarkets for plastic bag alternates on my cherries last year with good success. I did try ordinary plastic bags one year but the leaves and fruit went manky. I don't think I have any cherries to protect this year Sad

These are net bags - some from the supermarket and others that I bought!!! Dirty word, bought.

I never thought of doing that. Brilliant idea. Wish I’d done that with the plums and cherries in previous years. To late now. You’ll have to remind me in a couple of years time when my young trees start producing  Big Grin .
Those peaches look lovely and I don’t even like peaches     Big Grin
